2010 Legacies Now is building on our experience leveraging the 2010 Winter Games to help social organizations create large scale and lasting impact. Many of our successful 2010 Legacies Now programs are transferring to our partners where they will continue their work to create lasting community benefits.
Looking ahead, 2010 Legacies Now will move to a venture philanthropy approach, supporting innovative non-profit social organizations that are working to achieve major change in two areas: literacy and lifelong learning, and sport and healthy living. As a venture philanthropy organization, we will provide funding, business planning, mentorship and other support to high-potential non-profit social organizations to significantly expand their impact in these areas.
2010 Legacies Now will conduct a detailed assessment of potential non-profit social organizations to partner with, providing philanthropists focused on high social impact with a means to invest more easily and with greater confidence. We will partner with corporate, philanthropic and government investors to support innovative non-profit social organizations to deliver change on a large scale.

Through these value-added services, we can create far-reaching social legacies and leverage new philanthropic resources to help social organizations open doors to new business practices and greater, long-term successes.
2010 Legacies Now is a venture philanthropy organization, whose investment goes beyond money to involve coaching, strategic planning and networking. Our approach will guide social organizations to creating large scale and lasting social impact well beyond 2010.
