For many parents and their small children, the transition from home to school can be overwhelming. Parents As Literacy Supporters (PALS) is a family literacy program that helps to make this transition easier.

Between 2005 and 2008, high-quality summer arts and sport programs for children were offered to communities around BC. Explorations summer camps introduced elementary school students to the arts and to new sports.

Between 2004 and 2009, 2010 Legacies Now helped to bring nearly 200 high-calibre sport events to BC communities through Hosting BC.

From 2006 to 2009, Measuring Up helped more than 100 BC communities to assess and improve their accessibility. Everyone benefits when communities become more accessible: people with disabilities or injuries, seniors, parents pushing baby carriages, and tourists with luggage.
