Ljiljana Ljubisic

Member, 2010 Legacies Now Board of Directors

In addition to her work on the Board of Directors for 2010 Legacies Now, Ljiljana Ljubisic (Lilo), serves as chair of the International Paralympic Committee’s Athletes Committee. She is also a long-standing member of AthletesCan and past sport technical officer for the Canadian Blind Sports Association. 

Award-Winning 

Lilo is a world-class discus and shot put thrower and five-time Paralympian. She has 19 international podium finishes, including a gold medal at the 1992 Summer Paralympic Games in Barcelona, Spain.  

Background  

Lilo has parlayed nearly two decades of competing in Paralympic sport into a lifetime commitment to sport for athletes with disabilities. She contributes her time to volunteerism and community and international initiatives.  

Lilo travels throughout BC and the world entertaining, inspiring, and motivating people of all ages. Her candidness, enthusiasm, honesty, and humour make her a crowd favourite wherever she goes.  

Lilo lives with her husband in Coquitlam.
