Tracking child development
The Kindergarten Learning Project (KLP) brought together early primary educators from across BC to develop and field test an assessment framework and resources, which kindergarten teachers could use to track child development and design learning experiences to match each stage of development.

The Kindergarten Learning Project was funded by the Ministry of Education with support from 50 school districts, the BC Primary Teachers’ Association, the BC Principals and Vice-Principals Association and 2010 Legacies Now.
The resources developed include a CD containing assessment continua and support materials (for oral language, social responsibility and early literacy development), and a DVD showing how the assessment framework and continua are being used by BC kindergarten teachers.
