Expanding arts audiences across BC
The Innovations program invested in BC arts, cultural and heritage organizations wishing to create new opportunities for community engagement in arts and cultural activities.
Program funding for the arts
From 2005 to 2009, the Innovations program supported new community projects that expanded community engagement and participation in arts and cultural activity. Innovations provided funding support to BC arts, culture and heritage organizations, alone or in partnership, to create new opportunities for residents to engage in these activities for a sustained period of time.
Innovations has invested more than $1.9 million in 195 projects in 61 communities around the province. Through these community projects, 2010 Legacies Now has met the following objectives and would like to acknowledge the support of its numerous Advisory Panels:
- Increased community engagement in creative activities
- Strengthened the arts sector's ability to build artistic excellence
- Strengthened the arts sector's ability to establish alliances
Final Reports
Recipients of Innovations funding who have completed their projects will need to file a Final Report to receive their final payment.
