Colour Your Community Project, Comox Valley, BC
As part of a ValleyLinks Healthy Communities project, youth in the Comox Valley created Colour Your Community, a colouring book focusing on their vision of a healthy community. Borrowing from Canada’s Food Guide, these youth created a recipe for a healthy Comox Valley which combines equal parts of health care, safety and emergency preparedness, with a heaping spoonful of quality education, and a generous dash of spirituality, culture and recreation. The youth have also created a local guide to volunteering, a youth in action group, and an emergency preparedness campaign.
