Growing Champions
Funding support for promising BC athletes
Growing Champions™ is a financial assistance program connecting promising BC athletes with businesses and individuals throughout the province. It provides a unique opportunity for businesses to support up-and-coming athletes both financially and by following their progress.
Funding opportunities through Growing Champions
Established in 2007 through a partnership between 2010 Legacies Now, Canadian Sport Centre Pacific and the PacificSport Centres, BC Athlete Voice and the Province of BC, Growing Champions enables businesses and individuals to become actively engaged in BC's sport system by directly providing funding support for local athletes on their journey to success.
Athletes directly benefit from funds to offset their training and competition costs. And contributors gain recognition and opportunities depending on the contribution path they choose. Through Growing Champions, businesses and individuals support the teamwork, determination and leadership that sport inspires in its participants.
Join the Growing Champions team
As a contributor, your funding support will help local athletes get one step closer to their dreams of becoming one of BC's best and representing Canada on the world stage. As a business, you can incorporate Growing Champions into your employee motivation programs and marketing efforts. As an individual contributor you can receive a tax receipt for your charitable donation.
Growing Champions athletes compete in many summer and winter sports. At this time Growing Champions is currently not accepting athlete applicants. However, if you would like to learn more about qualifying for Growing Champions, visit the Athlete's Corner on the Growing Champions website or send an email to info(at)GrowingChampions.ca.
