Explorations summer camps

Explorations summer camps provide BC children in kindergarten through Grade 7 with the opportunity to explore arts and/or sport and recreation.

Explorations summer camps ran from 2005 through 2008, providing more than 16,500 children from every region of the province with an opportunity to explore arts, sport and recreation, or a combination of the two.  Explorations camps, supported by the Province of BC, provided enriched summer camp opportunities for elementary school students.

In 2009, resources are being redirected to a new program, Infusion™: Arts in Education. 2010 Legacies now and the Province of BC will provide professional development workshops for teachers and funding for summer camp practicum opportunities using Infusion strategies.
