2010 Legacies Now and its partners are ensuring the province becomes more accessible for all people with disabilities through its community projects.  Improving community life—working, commuting, travelling and playing—we have developed initiatives and funded community projects that improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.

  • AccessWORKS

    AccessWORKS is connecting people with disabilities to jobs, economic partnerships and volunteer positions.

  • Accessible Playgrounds Project

    Three world-class, accessible playgrounds are being built in Vancouver, Whistler and Richmond, British Columbia.

  • Accessible Tourism

    2010 Legacies Now, the Province of BC and numerous tourism partners are working to increase accessible tourism in BC and help to make the province a premier travel destination for people with disabilities.

  • Measuring Up

    Managed by The Social Planning and Research Council of BC (SPARC BC), Measuring Up aims to foster opportunities for the active engagement, participation and contribution of persons with disabilities in their communities.

  • Virtual Voices Village

    Virtual Voices Village provided opportunities for students with disabilities to participate in the excitement of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
