BC Sport Tourism Events Marketplace 2008
More than 115 participants from 30 communities around the province attended the 4th Annual BC Sport Tourism Events Marketplace held April 15, 2008 at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel.
The BC Sport Tourism Events Marketplace is a partnership between 2010 Legacies Now, Tourism BC and the Province of British Columbia. The annual event brings community tourism representatives together with provincial sport organizations (PSOs) to network, develop partnerships and explore new sport event hosting opportunities.
Educational topics featured at the 2008 event included themes as diverse as Working as a Team to Build World Class Sport Tourism, Sustainable Events, and a presentation by Olympian Kristina Groves on Pre-Games Training and Acclimatization…as seen through an Olympic Athlete’s Eyes.
2010 Legacies Now thanks the Province of BC and numerous other
