Annual conference links sport and tourism in BC
From 2005 to 2009, 2010 Legacies Now sponsored and coordinated the BC Sport Tourism Events Marketplace together with Tourism British Columbia. This annual conference brings the tourism and sport industries together to network, develop new community partnerships and explore sport event hosting opportunities.
Marketplace offers educational programs and networking
The BC Sport Tourism Events Marketplace was a province-wide, business-to-business conference for local tourism representatives and Provincial Sport Organizations (PSOs). 2010 Legacies Now sponsored the Marketplace, in partnership with Tourism BC, in the years leading up to the 2010 Winter Games so BC communities could discover new hosting opportunities. The marketplace offered both an educational program and an opportunity to network and discuss future sport tourism events that could lead to new opportunities in community development.
The BC Sport Tourism Events Marketplace was supported by Tourism British Columbia, through the Province of British Columbia.
