Vancouver 2010 Aboriginal Youth Legacy Fund

The Vancouver 2010 Aboriginal Youth Legacy Fund will support education, sport, culture and sustainability initiatives for Aboriginal youth across Canada beyond the 2010 Winter Games.

A key legacy component of the Vancouver 2010 Aboriginal Licensing and Merchandising Program is the creation of an Vancouver 2010 Aboriginal Youth Legacy Fund (AYLF). One third of the royalties received by the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) from the sale of Aboriginal licensed products will go towards this fund.

Created by the Four Host First Nations and VANOC, the AYLF will support sport, culture, sustainability and education initiatives for youth within the Four Host First Nations (Squamish, Lil’wat, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh) as well as for First Nations, Inuit and Métis youth across Canada, beyond the 2010 Winter Games.

2010 Legacies Now has been appointed as the trustee for the fund.

Visit the Vancouver 2010 online store to view products from which one third of the royalties will go to the AYLF.
