Building strength in the arts sector

In addition to its contribution programs, 2010 Legacies Now has made strategic investments in other community projects, focusing on those that advance specific disciplines in the arts and culture sector, establish links between the arts and other sectors in the province, or generate new sources of revenue.

Outside of its contribution programs, 2010 Legacies Now has provided funding support for arts and cultural projects that address other areas of need in the community or within the sector. From community projects that developed arts and cultural opportunities for inner-city residents and for people with disabilities, to linking the arts with health services, these varied investments were chosen because of their innovation and potential for positive impact in British Columbia.
