LEAP BC supports early learning practitioners through professional development opportunities and by providing comprehensive resources, including activity cards that integrate Literacy, Education, Activity and Play.

Developed by 2010 Legacies Now, these activity cards promote healthy child development by integrating physical movement, healthy eating, oral language and early literacy.

Partners in the development and the implementation of LEAP BC include 2010 Legacies Now, the Province of B.C. (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development, Ministry of Children and Family Development, ActNowBC) and the University of Victoria. Partnerships with health professionals, early learning agencies and regional and community networks are also being developed to facilitate the distribution of LEAP BC resources.
