Managing Director, Legacy Initiatives

Brian brings many years of experience in business, government, and finance to 2010 Legacies Now. He was assistant deputy minister of BC's Olympic Games Secretariat and served on the Board of Directors for the Vancouver 2010 Bid Corporation.

Brian was assistant deputy minister for Tourism and Corporate Policy, in the Ministry of Small Business, Tourism and Culture and served as the vice president in the Finance and Corporate Secretary for Forest Renewal BC. He also served as the vice president of Business and Finance and corporate secretary for the BC Trade Development Corporation, establishing six foreign investment and trade offices.

For the Community

Brian is director of Business Opportunities with the Business Inner City Society and chair of the Inner-City Tourism Initiative. He also sits on the BC/VANOC sustainability committee and the Inner City Inclusivity Initiative.

Brian previously served with the BC Chamber of Commerce, Conference Board of Canada, Simon Fraser University Business Advisory, and Certified Management Accountants Society of Canada. 

Background 

Brian has a Bachelor of Economics and Commerce from Simon Fraser University and is a Certified Management Accountant.
