IOC PRESIDENT SHARES LESSONS IN OLYMPIC LEGACIES

Vancouver, B.C. (February 25, 2008): International Olympic Committee President Dr. Jacques Rogge will speak at the RBC 2010 Legacies Now Speaker Series luncheon in Vancouver on Wednesday, February 27. His speech will be webcast live at www.2010LegaciesNow.com.  

“As we move toward 2010, we’re offering communities numerous occasions to learn from past Games,” said 2010 Legacies Now CEO Bruce Dewar. “It is an honour to host Dr. Rogge and we look forward to sharing his knowledge and experiences with communities across Canada.”  

Dr. Rogge will discuss the IOC’s commitment to creating sustainable legacies within the Olympic Games, as well as the important contributions sport can make toward building a well-rounded society. Dr. Rogge’s presentation will be webcast live at 1 p.m. Pacific Standard Time from a luncheon hosted by the Vancouver Board of Trade.
