Sport Tourism Workshops
Workshops forge community partnerships
Sport Tourism Workshops show how the sport and tourism industries can work together to ensure sport events are a success for the entire community.
Learn about the economic benefits of sport tourism
The spotlight will be on British Columbia during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Sport Tourism Workshops are a community development initiative aimed at increasing awareness and knowledge of sport tourism opportunities that will arise as a result of BC hosting the 2010 Winter Games. These workshops show how the sport and tourism industries can work together to ensure sport events bring economic benefits to communities across BC.
Sport Tourism Workshops offer a basic understanding of sport tourism and how it can benefit and relate to your community. Since the program began in 2005, over 500 people have participated in Sport Tourism Workshops across BC.
