Explorations summer camps

Explorations summer camps provide BC children in kindergarten through Grade 7 with the opportunity to explore arts and/or sport and recreation.

Explorations camps, supported by the Province of BC, focus on children who may not otherwise have the chance to participate in summer arts and sports programs. For example, the children may live in a remote location or encounter barriers such as a lack of resources or opportunities in the community.

The Explorations summer camps… 

  • Complement the school curriculum
  • Offer a wide range of opportunities in the areas of arts and/or sport/recreation
  • Help children develop new skills and increase participation in arts and/or sport/recreation activities
  • Encourage the development of partnerships between schools and the community
